Hours clarification

Hello,

Please excuse this if it sounds simple I think I’m over thinking it I’m starting night shifts tomorrow and have confused myself a bit example bellow:

Monday to Friday 7pm to 7am the Friday shift will run into Saturday so I’ll start Friday at 7pm and finish Saturday at 7am would I then be legal starting Monday at 7pm? Oviusly these times are examples my start.time everyday will be 7pm Monday to Friday

Yes because it’s 24hr periods not calendar days.

So using your example youd have 60hrs off between finishing Saturday AM and starting Monday PM

Cheers mate just confused me cause it’s nights running into the Saturday day time

Yeah i get that but dont think of it as day or night shift just think if it as a shift in any 24hr period.

The regs do not use the word DAYS so it does not cause this type of confusion
