I’m just wondering if that’s an ex middle east unit.
The letters of FORD have been rearranged to spell DORF. I think there’s a story about the Iranian (?) authorities not letting Fords into their country because they’re American, or something like that. So some drivers rearranged the letters, and apparently got through. I don’t know how true that is

I thought the reg plate was missing but there is something hanging low just under the n/s headlight, could that be it??

That’ll be genuine Coomsey. It’s got LHD and plenty of sleeper LAD cabs went out export. It might even be a local cab behind the moulded front.
Imagine if the TGWU hadn’t blocked sleeper cabs in the UK, maybe UK manufacturers would have been better placed to compete with the European builders ■■?

yep good for the day, also a good chippy could make a side extension for the bunk with the seats pulled forward/folded giving a extra 6 inches width …

Yes I was quite impressed with it especially given the age coomsey.
For sure K . I never had a sleeper n I was too young to know good digs ,so I cabbed it, not for the feint hearted. Good shillings n happy as Larry mind. Better still the missus was happy cheers coomsey
