Who here has previous or current experience working for home bargains? What’s it like day to day and how do you find the 5 on 3 off shift pattern?

Been there - Done that…
Depends on which depot you’re looking at…
HB are very “you will do it our way, or no way” procedural, even down to their routes/ runs. Even if you’re working non direct, paid by agency or NFT (who own Neil Evans Transport, that’s for Amesbury deport anyway).
The 5/3 runs over weekends, you’re not getting as many. there’s scope to do 6/2 for the extra.
They use a lot of subbies, which, IMHO proves they cannot keep drivers, as we tend to vote with our feet, don’t like it, leave…
The money was a “daily rate” rather than hourly and was not great, £135/ £145 kind of area at the time.
I know guys still working there, if you want any up to date info but not for their Liverpool depot mate
