Holyhead - Dublin, Passport Needed?

Hi guys,

Tomorrow I’m catching the ferry to Dublin from Holyhead. Could anyone tell me whether I need my passport or not?

Thanks in advance
Simon

You don’t need one as long as you’re British.

Doesn’t seem to matter what nationality you are. So no, you don’t need a passport

Think strictly speaking you do,but trust me,you`ll not be asked or bothered for one.

No strictly speaking you don’t but you would need certain I.D like photo licence etc so a passport although not a necessity would be a good idea.

In the republic it is an offence not to be in possession of your licence when driving so that should cover your photographic ID
