Holiday in BC where to go?

Hello folks,

I’ve decided upon myself to take a holiday away to Canada, Vancouver BC to be exact as I know it’s not the most cheapest of places to visit but I have a few people I need to see, and places I’d like to go but I thought I’d come on here to see if people knew of any places they’d recommend going to?

I’ll be going for about 10 days, and will be going november time next year, but booking early so i can pay it off and get some spending money saved up :sunglasses:

I should add I will be renting a car, So i’ll have to remember to drive on the right and not get into the right side of the car :smiling_imp:

Cheers

Jonny :sunglasses:

As it’s November, it’s hard to recommend anywhere because of unknown weather.
If the weather’s good, Vancouver- Kamloops (via HWY1)- Sicamous- Vernon- Kelowna- Osoyoos- Vancouver (via HWY 3). A nice 2 day 750 mile rounder.
If the weather’s bad, take the Pacific Coast Highway down to LA.

Get the ferry across to Vancouver Island, very scenic places to visit there.
Go down the coast to Seattle/Portland etc.

The aquarium is good, its fun to see the raccoons in Stanley Park and there is a fantastic restored salmon cannery in Stevenston thats well worth a visit. Another fun thing if the weather is good ( it rains a lot in Vancouver) is to take what they call the mail run flight on a float plane, costs about $100 dollars but its great. Basically you dont know where you are going or how many stops but usually its to 2 or 3 out of the way places dropping people and stuff off then flying back to town.

Take the train to Whistler.

Go in the summer much more civilised

Do a roadtrip to Sparwood BC to see what used to be the biggest truck in the world…take in the beauty of #3 and then run back over the Coq to see if the tv shows are telling the truth…and you might see jamie and his breakdown trucks,
would be an experience!!!
