I’ve been operating HIAB’s for 20 years, from grab to hook with no accidents. My ticket is due to expire in June and I’ve been quoted from £375 to £675 for one day’s “refresher training” to keep this ALLMI ticket alive. It didn’t exist prior to 2005. What a rip off !! Disgusting
There are no one-day ALLMI courses, as of earlier this year: You will have been quoted for the two-day course.
But, I agree, when you have experience, and a previous ALLMI ticket, the compulsory two-day course is unreasonable. It may have something to do with the apparent increase in incidents cropping up in the press
