Hi everyone.Long time lurker first time poster here
I passed my class 2 test about 7 weeks ago and have applied for a few jobs with limited success.Alot of places seem to want experience etc so guess this is my problem.Ive been semi offered a waste tanker job so was wondering if anyone has experienced this sort of job and was looking for feedback as such as need help in the decision process Thank you for reading
So you’re asking for advice about taking a job that gives you experience, as lack of experience is the hurdle you’re coming up against?
I’m asking for views on tanker driving from people who have done it .No need in trying to be clever is there ?
I’ve never done waste tanks so take that into account. May not be the dream job you’re gonna do for ever, but it dies suit some people who would hate to do what I enjoy doing.
But as E8B is, not very diplomatically, saying is true- at the least it is a start to get you some driving time in. If you’re lucky you’ll love it. If you hate it you’ve experience to get a better job.

You asked for a view
you got an answer
You didn’t like the answer because in your eyes it wasn’t what you wanted.
■■■■it in buttercup it was a truthful answer you have lack of experience take it don’t take it, you never know it might turn out to be a dream job that suits you but not everyone or it could be not for you all jobs / companies aren’t the same.
Personally I don’t think it would be the job for me but then knowing a guy that did 15 + years trunking to going on a [zb] vacuum tank sucker who would have known it he loves it.

Calm down mate as I’m only having a bit of fun, and you’re going to need a sense of humour in this game…
Those of us on the forum see this time and again, a Newbie is struggling to get their foot in the door, build their experience and options for the future. The advice is always the same, take whatever you can when green, as you simply don’t have the same options as an experienced driver. So what if you don’t like it, you can always quit in a few months and know it’s not for you. Plus you’ll have a few months experience and more options in looking for your next gig.
If you think you can pick and choose when a Newbie, then I’m sorry, but you need a reality check mate!
(Sorry Franglais, still not very diplomatic! )

You’re normally so gentle with the Newbies. I was so shocked I nearly spat Earl Grey over the cucumber sandwiches.
Earl Grey, the tea, I should say.

I don’t believe you for a second (thankfully with that mental image ) as I’ve got you down more as a kopi luwak coffee drinker!
But I will hold my hands up and admit I was being a bit mischievous, as it did strike me as a chicken and egg question…
The answer was already there, and maybe I’m also guilty of fishing a bit to gauge the OP.
I was given a pack of kopi luwak coffee as a Chrissie prezzie.
I will open it one day…
One day…

I wasn’t dodging Rog I gave the first and last letter as that’s what he dose . ■■■■■and pumps [zb]. The zb makes it out to be a worse word than was used after all were all adults here and no offence or bad language was being pointed at anyone
The context of the word is not the issue - the word itself is censored … (but I see your viewpoint) ROG
