Any training providers had an email like this - i try not to deal with brokers
Dear Laurie,
I would like to formally request an all-encompassing permission to use Tockwith Training when we quote for any training from the DWP that you can facilitate in the Yorkshire area. This means that if we are successful and win the quote, we will be sending the candidate to you for all practical training.
Once you reply to this email authorizing us to use your name when quoting, we will use this permission for all future quotes that we submit, for training requests within the vicinity of the Yorkshire area.
Thank you for your support, and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Kind regards. ________________________ Raquel Villar-Perez Key Accounts Manager - DWP Specialised Training Services Telephone: Email: Web
The part that puts me off is letting them use our name when quoting, also it feels from the email as if they are pretending to have some sort of connection with the DWP when they are operating same as any other broker. Maybe they want to use our name because thew DWP have issues with them…
Just my take but how will you get paid?,by the candidate or by the DWP?,If the DWP are anything to go by when I was signing on they aren’t the fastest and will you be training candidates then chasing the money?.
Turns out it’s only for forklift training and it relates to new DWP rules that they have to ask all providers they sub work out to, to confirm they are willing to receive trainees. My guess is that the brokers were getting work in without first talking to the training provider, bit dodge but hardly difficult to believe when it come to brokers. As a rule we don’t work with brokers on the LGV side as they are as mentioned above, on the forklift training it not uncommon but usually DWP send them direct.
