HGV Footballers To The Rescue

With free movement of footballers allowing anyone from anywhere in the world to get a UK footballing licence/visa to work for any Football Company in the UK, maybe Haulage Companies could set themselves up as football companies.

A small investment in football pitches at MSAs could allow a ‘Logistics League’ just one pitch per MSA could allow a full league fixture, bearing in mind a football match is only 90 mins (plus half time) and can be booked as time off.

Imagine Stobarts, Wincanton, [zb]s, DHL, XPO etc… becoming football clubs with lorries, they could recruit from anywhere in the world, get the ***** delivered and still not upset Farage and the Gammonians

Was that tongue in cheek??

For what it’s worth, footballers from overseas need a work permit and visa before they can join a team

As a general rule, I think if you’ve got nothing to say then it’s better to say nothing at all.

Have you heard of many footballers being refused a visa or work permit?

Plus most of the immigrants in the Cabinet (including our Prime Minister) running the UK, don’t have a visa problem and don’t even have to do any DCPC equivalent to do their job

Clubs tend not to go after players they know are going to be refused a visa to avoid getting a player refused hence why you don’t see to many refusals but you do hear of clubs saying they aren’t going after player x as they know he wouldn’t get a premit.

Way things are going pretty soon footballers will become hgv drivers and earning more than they do playing football

On serious note maybe people already know I duno.

But footballer Roger hunt a member of 1966 world cup winiing team.
Started a haulage business after winning the world cup.

Hunts brothers based in Warrington now owned by h &m
As back then footballers had sencnd jobs as they weren’t paid a lot

You do not hear of players being refused a visa, because they buy a player loan them out to qualify for the said WP… happens all the time.
