HGV 3,2 &1

Just as a bit of fun, add a +1 to this thread if you are someone who had to do the 3 seperate tests. (HGV 3,2 & 1)
By the way I got my first ever driving licence by passing the HGV 3 test, I was 17 years old and just finished Army basic training. (So gained my driving licence by learning to drive in a Bedford 4t CL) I have since gained a ■■■■ load of experience and qualifications to be where I am today! Which is… On an agency!!!

I remember pulling a trailer with my wagon on an HGV 3 licence, and then I remember having to pass a test on a wagon that had an extra axle!! whooaaa!! an extra axle, it was still rigid mind you, but I could still stick a trailer on the back of it… then there was the HGV 1, the big artics!! by then I had enough experience pulling trailers that it was a doddle.

Please feel free to reminisce.

Learnt to drive in something pretty similiar to this.

A mate of mine took a Class 1 course with only a provisional car licence, and provisional HGV licence, the difference was that he had to display an ordinary L plate alongside the HGV L plate, this was around 1986.

Not required, the fact he had a bike licence is a coincidence.
