What’s the preferred route to there from deepest Derbyshire ? The Hull and Immingham ferry’s are approx £900 more than going via Dover, but saving about 9 hours driving overall ,my thoughts are Dover for ferry times convenience and £900 for 9hrs extra driving is not too bad .
I Dover it for pretty much everything, even Scandinavian trips, difficult to stomach the ferry costs otherwise.
Tho I did do a Jersey the other wk, now that’s a mental expensive ferry! Plus it took 11 flipping hrs! £1850 for a 9m rigid!
Luckily could use the 4x4 & the big enclosed trailer instead on that one & saved £1100!
Yes I think I paid £1388 return in yr 2000 ish for Portsmouth jersey 10.5 m sprinter n trailer .
What about Stena Harwich - Hoek? Am told it gets booked well in advance.
It’s the only way to take a load to Germany.
One other advantage of the North Sea ferries is that it’s an all night crossing, so you’ll have a cabin with en-suite and meals with coffee. You buy your own beverages.
You then start in the morning with a clean card for whatever you have to do that day.
