Hi ianto,
I remember Bristow Bros in Hereford, there was an article about one of them in the local paper a few weeks back. I think he passed away in his 90’s.
Cheers Dave.

Was talking to Finnly300 yesterday,he said he won’t have any chance of coming on the thread for a few weeks.
So you are the mainstay to keep it going.

Hi KK,
Hedley had a B series ERF 8o wheeler with a grab on timber, with a Kington driver called Tommy Bounds drove it for him.
I don’t recall a Scammell, but Hedley has had various lorrries over the years.

Hi KK,
Ted Hardwick had a B series ERF eight wheeler bulk tipper on coal haulage from Knighton,he hauled mainly for The Radnoshire Co,he possibly had a Foden before the ERF. Ted’s mate another owner driver Dennis Roberts from Knighton had a green semi long wheelbase KM on the same job. I think Dennis had a Volvo sixx wheeler when he packed up.
Unfortunately both have passed away, but they were both long time owner drivers who did all their own maintenance.
Cheers Dave.

Been thinking about that myself KK. I know Dennis Roberts son works at West Pennine, I will ask him, also Ted Hardwicks Daughter-in-Law who I know, those two blokes had a lot of interesting lorries over the years. Ted had an Albion Reiver six wheeler and Dennis had a LAD Dodge six wheeler at one time, they always did their greasing etc, by the auction yard in Knighton on a Sunday morning.
Cheers Dave.
