Is the Atki ex Berrington Transport who were bought out by Shepherds in Sheffield years ago? The colour is very similar and it does have a Herefords reg.

Yes you are correct, the atki was Shephardā€™s of Sheffield who took over Berringtons from Sutton St Nicholas nr Hereford.
When we bought it, it was still in M. S. Ellis of Cambridge, Gloucester livery. Green cab & white roof but under that it was a maroon red, probably a darker red than what weā€™ve got.

AECs IIRC Dave,they had a MK5 Mandator and then some tilt cabs,but I donā€™t recall seeing any rigids.I remember seeing one of the Atkis and it carried the Hereford address on the cab as long as I can remember,in fact Iā€™m almost positive it carried Berringtonā€™s name in the maroon livery with a head office Sheffield address underneath.It was a long time ago so I could be wrong :unamused:
