Missed your post again Chris,if you look at the post above,you wwill see why its a no go to reopen,but if you want a good cuppa,there’s a good snack van just down the road towards Letton,run by a nice lady called Maria who does good grub and a good cup of tea or coffee,a real meeting place,especially in the summer,I spend many a happy hour there.

The Boss knows,she is with me sometimes the snackvan near Hay On Wye is Extreme Organics,right next to the Llanigon turn,as you say its also very good,haven’t called there for a long time,haven’t been to Maria’s that much lately,it is close to home and my other half makes a good bacon buttie,but then again,so can I.

I drove one of those in the late 60’s for Brisbanes of Knighton,it had a 5.7 underslung engine,considered powerful for a four wheeler then,be underpowered up against the Scania’s with the five cylinder 310 now,same as jonmea on here has,and some of the quarry boys.

The one I had Fin,did have power steering and a two speed axle,also a good heater,but it would be a poor match for your Daf CF and all the other modern lorries.
