Hello guys

First post here so I thought I introduce myself.

I’ve just sent my medical and application for Provisional to the DVLA on Friday.

Next step as I understand it to prepare for my CPC theory and case studies.

I appreciate any advice given regarding stages ahead?

Likewise any recommendations about Training schools?

Longer term I’m thinking of Tramping for a few years, I’m currently living in Worthing but would be prepared to relocate to another part of the country for employment purposes. I’ve noticed there seems to a lot more work up north, particularly around Carlisle and the Scottish Borders.

I understand that if you train with Stobart they can line you up with a job on complication of licence?

As I say any tips or advice greatly appreciated.

Take a look in the Newbie forum for Training School recommendations, and inside the signature used by Rog. (Look for the Traffic Lights)

Lots of work in the borders? Dunno? Maybe there are lots of adverts because its bad work or poor pay? I dont have any view myself, but many suggest the Midlands or Avonmouth give a good chance of decent work.

I did my Class 2 with Peter Smythe, taking the residential option as Hills of Plumpton were silly prices. I wasn’t impressed with Lancing/Cralwey HGV training centre or whatever they called themselves back then.
