"Heavy Haulage through the years"

Hi Ro, i only had a short drive in the Kenworth. Dad was picking a road planer up from Ashby De La Zouch, and i went along to help. I drove it from Ashby to Shepshed. Before the road was upgraded it was a bit narrow and twisty around Coleorton, with trees right up to the side of the road. I wasn’t hugging the trees enough, and i think dad felt a little exposed (LHD) and we swapped over at Shepshed. Chuckling now thinking about it.
Any news on the Collins ERF?

Cheers Colin! Not a peep on the ERF I’m afraid

Thanks Buzzer, those last couple are like being at home.

Dissapointing Ro. Thought you would’ve had an invite to see it at some point.

Yes, I agree it’s disappointing. I suppose its just possible that it’s still in a queue of projects pending. Even so, just a word would have been nice. Trouble is, the intermediary, whose user name was ‘ERF’ - a very knowledgeble and communicative valuable asset to TN - was one of many on here who were scared off or put off by CF’s loony and insistent ramblings. So we lost him. We now have CF’s inane rantings instead of erudite empirical knowledge. Oddly enough, it had never occurred to me to be invited to view the NGC in person. Now that’s something I’d certainly have appreciated! Hey ho.

Looking at pictures of their other restored lorries, she appears to be in good hands at least. Smart livery as well. Maybe next spring!

Yes, that’s exactly what I think. :crossed_fingers:

That ‘dead’ crane must have got itself onto the trailer under its own steam.

I fail to see the purpose of ballast trucks, in that situation. What is the maximum weight allowed on an eight tyred drive group?
