"Heavy Haulage through the years"

Caught red handed there Dean, I’ve been silent for a few days, thought I’d check up on things and here you are bragging about “those mighty F88/89”… and not a word about the F10/12/16… very disappointed in you mate

Now, about that vehicle mentioned, that’s one of four build HHT tractor units, brainchild of Heanor’s (rip) fitted with a I believe a CAT engine, might be wrong though… as usual…

Thanks to LR Man, robthedog, jshepguis and Dean for the pic’s! Nice one lads, keep it coming please

Another few.

Dean I think the front mud guards have been replaced,a more square look in the wheel arch.

Also I think those F88/89 model Volvos were marketed as G88/89s here in Aus a nice looking truck and then the model after from which the Globetrotter evolved were designated the F10/12 would that be correct?

Cheers Dig

I liked that HHT Dean. Here’s an F12 with a decent load for pv83!

These don’t match some of those european lifts but worth a look.

Dig,The Scammell had a F88 cab fitted to it ! Yes the F88,89 were sold as G88’s & 89, the front axle
was further forward so they did not have the bottom step fitted. Yes the F10 & 12 and then 16 came
after the F88 & 89. See the pic attached they were testing the prototype of the F10 in Australia in
1973 ! :open_mouth: They were not available in the UK until 1977 !

This must have been one that they used in Saudi Arabia as it has the air con unit on roof.

Cheers Danne, cracking shots once again mate!

What’s that machine in the last two pic’s? It’s based upon a Volvo EC300/380, that’s the only bit that looks familiar…

Keep taking the medication chap ! You are a lost cause !! :unamused:

A mixed selection.

hh35.jpg

I have slipped a couple of Volvo pics in this selection i must add they are not my trucks the triple was driven by my daughters father in law the other I came across one night had stopped quick but the load didn’t.
The KW and Mack were mine and those pics should comply with the Heavy Haulage theme as each photo was of a 115ton plus gross weight around 72 wish tons payload.

Cheers Dig

Great pics Dig, keep them coming mate ! By the way hows Cook these days, still the boss !!
