what make are the 4/5 axle lowloaders, is the suspension hyd or air ■■?

Hi Dispatcher! They are Norweigan,Called VANG. Both the 4and 5axl are on air. We have 4 of them in different size. And one is hudralic suspension.

The gent in the middle is my Grandad Thomas Wm. Smiles Who worked for Blands of Gosforth who were bought out by Currie & Co Ltd, He went on to drive Scammells for Curries, And sadley they were enveloped into the Pickfords lot & their name just vanished when nationlisation came into force, He was a dedicated haulage man just like his younger brother Issac Smiles who founded the Smile for Miles haulage co in the late 20s, Who I worked for in the early 60s, Regards Larry.

That transformer delivery is a cracking picture,Larry,and jacking up one side to level the trailer so the load does not swing out when lifted,with a timber scotch,love it!!!

Taken at Peterhead dockside was quick way getting empty reel off vessel and off quay, empty reel weight about 40 tonne.
