Anyone heading for Hastings needs to check for roadworks on the A21 on the Hastings boundary, closed overnight for the next 4 months to complete the Queensway Gateway Link Road. First night tonight and chaos already. Junction Road off The Ridge down to the A21 is now closed forever…
The A2100 through Battle from Johns Cross on the A21 is open again after being closed for a few weeks so that is the obvious alternative route.
Yep sounds like getting to Hastings could be a bit of a battle.

Just an update on the A21 status on the Hastings boundary! It really is chaotic and the delays with these roadworks are causing jams far greater than anyone expected during the day. I’m a local and live less than a mile from the chaos (I can actually see some of it from my kitchen window!) Forget the A21 during during the day, find another route!
I am lucky and know the local area so can find ways to get to most places avoiding the jams, but my better half wants to shop in Sainsburys and despite 3 attempts to get there we ended up in Tesco’s!
