I keep on hearing that you can’t record a driving break until you have done over one hours driving. Is this correct?
ie, drive for 50 minutes then show a break of 45.

1 minute of driving not 1 hour
You can legally do this
Drive 1 minute
break 15 mins
drive 4 hours 29 mins
break 30 mins
drive 4 hours 30 mins

As long as you have driving showing on the tachograph card/chart you can have a driving break, it makes no difference how much driving has been recorded as long as some has.

Hi
Thanks everyone for posting a reply. I’d never read anything saying there was a minimum amount of driving time before you can record a break but you know how it is when a group of drivers get chatting. Cheers.
