Received it today :frowning: doing 68 in 60 what a joke 1 mile less and i wouldnt get it

i was driving a van , mercedes sprinter , on a1 northbound , after junction with a52 for grantham there is a new gatso camera i believe , i was doing 67 mph , and i’m 99 percent sure it flashed me , the limit is 70 mph , but vans can do 60 apparently , so is it possible i will get a ticket??

Is the A1 at that point motorway or dual A road?

it’s a dual a road , i dont drive very often , so i didnt know it was 60 for vans, apparently these new gatsos can differentiate cars , vans and lorries

went up that way yesterday very early hours and i was at 56mph with 2 other trucks and did not flash. Don’t worry

No idea if you’ll get done,but there’s often a list of drivers in the Grantham journal getting done by that cammera including some well know footballers doing some blinding speeds :unamused: .ive only ever seen it flash at cars doing a fair old lick past it,if you’re in a truck you have to watch it as the down hill gradient will push you on a bit going down there.
I know the one comming out of Grantham on the a52 towards notts at the bottom of barrow by hill will do you :blush: ,fair few years ago got done for around the 50 mark whilst driving for salvesens

Also be careful on the a1 as one of our drivers has just got done for dangerous driving on the a1, he was doing 30 mph :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :unamused: :unamused: ,it’s not always the cammeras you need to worry about,but the unmarked ( I’m assuming it was unmarked) cop car following you :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation:
