The question is,…will Dennis recognise the chap striding in front of the 143 ?

Cheers, cattle wagon man.

Keep him well away from any truck,he is in the right job now breaking them!!!.

That’s interesting John, goes to show that any picture you post online becomes public property. I’d be interested to know who has marked it copyright. (I am not getting at you).

I caught this one at Beetham Mill recently, as I knew they were usually white I asked the driver the reason for the paint job. Apparently it was an ex demonstrator put on the road at a busy time, they never got around to the repaint. (I do like the colour) Regards Kevmac47.

Hi truckfing Sorry about that mate but this is the site I got it off I was looking around for Albion tippers and spotted it and knowing a few of the drivers who used to work for Ernie I thought it would be of interest not knowing it was yours. :astonished:  JOHN

No problem John, I was not blaming you and I blame myself for putting it out there in the first place. What amused me was the copyright marking. The poster obviously thinks that he has taken the picture which in a way he has. He has taken it off my website.

This photograph was taken at Carnforths Truckhaven Truck Show in the mid 1990s.
The rear-steer axle on the semi trailer helped manoeuvrability when delivering livestock feeds to farms .

Sadly, the Lancaster-based W. & J. Pye Ltd. is just another livestock feed company name of no longer.

Cheers, cattle wagon man.

Driver Norman Stainton in front of the ERF he used to drive.(photo belongs to his son Allan)

geoff anderton was the owner of the dodge and don bardon had the volvo

truckfing:
Two owner driver’s motors that parked in the same yard as me in the early 80s. Chris Harrison from Morecambe had the Scania tipper which was a 6x2 with a lift up rear axle which was great for going off road but could not be used ,when raised, on the road in those days and Chris Molyneaux from Bolton le Sands had the Seddon Atkinson which ran out of High Roads Quarry brick plant.

we ended up with chris harrisons scanie lb86 RIP LB86 chris molyneauxs seddon atkinsonhad an engine transplant they removed the IH466 and replaced it with a volvo TD60 out of an F86

Two skip wagons from Heysham, are these both the same company? Almost 20 years between taking them.
