Hi guys what is the most expensive things you hauled
I was speaking to a guy who used to take the paper that makes our money to royal mint under armed guard, don’t know if he was having me on or not
Has anyone took any iPhone 5 or the likes of the new call of duty game, was always wondering where does all this come into for pick up obviously the docks
Once picked up a load of 26 pallets of wine that cost 10 grand a bottle (apprently) I doubt it though as that would have been about 20 million quid!! Lol!!
Recent has got to be bus engines, axles and tools and kit.

Hiya i used to do paper into Loughton years ago. it was wraped on pallets and nothing said. sometimes i’ve had stamp
paper on the same load.I do know the stamps go to different places to be printed and franked(is it franked where they
put the holes around the edge of the stamp) Southampton row in south London was one drop.
I used to carry Blank cheque books out of Metal Box Southwark years ago that’s moved now.You could write
a cheque for anything i would think…no armed guard. never told anyone either.
John
.
I’ve carried apple stuff like iphones and the like but i cant imagine it’s the most expensive , its a bit of a palaver to get into the place and you are told not to stop and what route to take .
P.S Im not allowed to tell you its was collected from syncreon Hinkley and taken about 10 or so miles further down the A5 so i won’t
Pick up pallets of Nurofen alot 10 x packs in a case 750 cases on a pallet, 52 pallets on a load, roughly 390000 packets of tablets at say £4 a pack so roughly £1.6m of tablets.
I have took a container with what looked like paper rolls…it was for making money i was told and its not paper but some type of cloth so its hard wearing…no security followed me.
i use to take castings to germany for seimens gasturbine plant in berlin, each casting was in its own flight case, looking at the cmr it said load value £2.6 million and it only took up about 10 foot of the trailer, then the rest of the load was general groupage so don’t know what the rest was worth
I’ve delivered h&c machine guns to Macclesfield, had a customs ■■■■■■ a second man and struck instructions not to stop for anything, must have been worth a bit!
I used to do exhibition tours for US based aircraft companies, Cessna,Gulfstream,Learjet, etc
Their trailers contained a fuselage of a business jet plus all the generators and equipment needed to be self sufficient,
I was told by the boss they had to up the insurance cover to at least $5million !!!
Had a regular run several years ago double manned in a 7.5 tonner. Empty to Chrities in Zurich, load a maximum of 5 paintings, straight to Christies in Lyon, unload, hang around till the end of the auction, reload a maximum of 5 paintings and straight back non stop to Christies…somewhere in London Truck would be driven into the vaulted area and unloaded by Christies staff. Was told that the loads were normally no less than £10million and sometimes a lot more
This was when antiques were worth a lot more and people had a lot more money Shame it stopped because by god was it an easy job

I can assure you that antiques are worth a lot more today and those with (serious) money have lots more than they ever did. The rich get richer and that is a fact. The work you did still goes on and not only from where you mentioned.
Took a full trailer of flat screen tvs on my first day at my current company, the lorry didnt even have a tracker, was just told to park in services overnight.
