I voted yes as i came home once and she confessed that she had spread em for the next door neighbour so i walked out and never went back
Hang on a minute, we need more info. Was the next door neighbour male or female, that would surely have a bearing on the walk or not decision?
Sounds like the start of a good movie to me!

best move i ever made
Couldnāt he have made his own sarnies then?
well we were both drivers at the time we got together but in a different capacity he was more trampin i was " white van man " we lived a few miles apart at 1st which worked well then he moved in if he had stayed where he was for the first 2 week we would have seen more of each other due to the nature of my work ( which he could never get his head round)
he found work up here quite easy but as the years went on it slowly went down hill think more to do with my work rather than his after approx. 4 yr we split allow we have remained friends this was about 4 yr ago
was it the job or just us i really dont know as i said poss more my job than his as i drove anything upto 7.5 ton although i was home most nights he was away 3-4 nights if the phone went i did which is what he didnt like especially at 1st
but such is life also me being very independent

it was a male now if it was a woman i would of joined them!!!
Eight years of Monday to Friday 5-6 nights away killed it for me. We had a year āoffā and got back together but too much had changed. We still see each other because of the kids. But thats it.
This industry will kill any relationship if shes not understandingā¦most drivers in this industry are either on their arse or their 3/4/th marriage relationshipā¦i myself am on my thirdā¦but she is so understanding because of the way she was brought up to realise i am the bread winner, and therefore have to do any job whatever it takesā¦so lomng as the money rolls inā¦its a 2 way thingā¦a love hate relationshipā¦i love herā¦she hates meā¦

you guys are all heart!
thanks guys that bought a smile to my face first time since thursday
No problems in over 30 years of marriage, we both enjoy our own time. Iāve always had jobs that involved days, weeks even months of seperation. The worst possible job I can think of is when youāre home every night, something Iāve avoided over the years. Since the mrs became ill (cancer) Iām home nearly all the time nowadays, not something I enjoy but it has to be done.
I donāt think it helps most of the time. Most women donāt seem to like it, though I quite like having my own space. I think it depends a lot on how much of a life you have. Iām working, paying my half, got a good social life during the week, so Iām not bothered. It hepls as well that my dad was a driver,s o I grew up in that environment. If youa re used to your dad having a 9-5, then itās tough sitting in on your own. Depends on the person though; thereās plenty of failed relationships when both have been at home every night.
BTW how about - peteandopentooffers
