Any body know where to park up near Athens for a couple of days,Ive been told Harrys. Anybody got directions.
Of to Athens on the 1st 2007
Cheers
I think things will have changed a lot since I was there. Georges TIR Bar, DKV and Visa taken behind the bar Girlz, Girlz and Dogz
St Nicks Square and Peters at Keratsini, and of course a fight with the Yanks at Glyfada for the weekend:P
Cant help you that much but Harrys is before you get to athens right beside the road next to a flyover on the main road from patras thats if they havent made a new road since i was there 4 years ago its right beside the road with a big sign on the roof sayin harrys ,some one on here will have better directions .
A possible alternative to Harrys:
Right opposite the Olympic stadium at the junction of Lafriou and Leoforus Olympionikou. Can also be accessed from Agiou Orous. From Attiki Odos use Exit 10 or 11 and go to the South side of the Stadium.
Loads of Trucks and Buses park here and a LGV Driving school also leave their vehicles there. Seems very safe and in a pretty smart part of town.
By the way - Does your place need any drivers on a regular Greece run? Iâm lookingâŠ
just edited the link to make it fit on my screen Denis F

I am taken a Iveco Stralis automatic.Should bee fun
Years ago you could park in the harbour of Piraeus safely & book into an hotel. Then they shifted it to a redundant wholesale fish market the other side of Athens where you took a chance going to the cafĂ© for a beer . It was full of Brit O/D petty crooks who based themselves there , running their trucks in Europe on bent credit cards etc. I found it best to park near the Corinth Canal bridge going in or out. Good food & safe but not very excitingâŠBut I suppose there is another way to Patras these days.

Them types seem to have died out now Harry for some reason they made it hard for the ones that did it legit ,every time you got the credit card out and they realised it was a GB one it was refused ,they have disapeared out of spain now as well, mind you they have been replaced by the east europeans and shortly the rumos god help us then
klunk/â â â â â â â A lot of those guys that were too clever for their own good had really tatty finales to their lives. Mostly heart attacks & miserable little diseases that they had living in the truck in a foreign car park. They were too scared to come back to the UK for treatment because they were wanted here for so many silly little things ,like the bent cards & trucks with about 20 years of HP owingâŠEverything in life has a price ticket⊠The poor sods believed that they were living legends . Except that they were dying.
The Rumos are a law unto themselves. In the New Year watch out for Disneyland goes Global when that crowd are let loose!! All those border guards were there for a good reason. As the good people of the EU Empire are going to find outâŠ
Bye the Way,Klunk. " HAPPY NEW YEAR!"
Nice to see some of the old hands still in business.
as harry said park by the corinth bridge. you still can park there and its safe and some good bar/resturants around that area. ive never heard of âload inspectorsâ cutting sheets etc in that area also you are to far away for the immigrants to hitch a ride. for me it was always the best bet for parking when anywhere near that area.
