Harrisons Transport From Tarleston!

georgeking:
I’m pretty certain a shipping company bought them out and then they started up again, I may be wrong, maybe someone who knows them personally can ask about this.

A member of my family worked for them - hence why I made my previous comment.

Garrisons were. Still are and buy the looks of it always will be a family owned company Lee took over from Tom about four or five years ago

Don’t know if anyone else has seen it yet, but Harrisons have a brand spanking new Volvo FH GlobeXL with all the bells and whistles like their other motors, saw it pulling into Turners at Newmarket and looked absolutley spot-on! Been searching for pics but its not even listed on LorrySpotting, yet?

ive seen it once in lymm truckstop looks mint like all their others i see there 3 series up in liverpool aswell

hi, the Volvo fhgtxl is listed on lorryspotting.com but no photo yet , Its an fh500 6x2 , hope it looks as smart as the Scanias , cheers alan.

Saw the Volvo this afternoon in Scarisbrick. Not especially ‘blinged-up’ by comparison with the Scanias - nice motor all the same.

TBH, I was looking at the registration number as it flew towards me, so the finer details escaped me. All I could think as I tootled past Billy Forshaw’s was “that’s the motor they’re on about on TNUK!” then it was ‘whoosh’ and it was gone in the other direction…

Obviously on locals today then…

Harrison took over Moleauyx I know this spelling is wrong but they were from Tralton.Preston then a comany call Alexander towing did buy Harrisons, and then moved from Tarlton to Leyland on Carr Ln and it became Alexander Moleauyx transport

But from what I can rember Harrisons still had a few truck after the clear out and dont know what the deal was with Antony Harrisson becase Lee was only a young lad at that time.

Can anyone help us out with what I have said?

Peter
