Unless it’s my eyes this lorry appears to be bigger than a day cab but less than a sleeper .

Near enough a flat floor in M series, bet it has a fold down bed in it

Probably had a “fold down” bunk Dan, it was a phase that the industry went through between predominately day cabs and the advent of "full "sleepers, I know Mate I was there ! Cheers Dennis.

Hi Dennis, The shot of the yard line up is on the day of the auction and as a guess a roller in the Seddon? Here is another one of Brian’s (off e bay)

Great shot that Pete, that C series of Brian’s is a C38 same as the ones we had the difference between the C38 and the C40 was the rear axle, the C40 had the D85 Kirkstall which was supposedly rated higher than the Eaton axle in the C 38’s but I was an Eaton man myself so I had all our new B and C series units built with the Eaton axle. The D85 did us a good job but IMHO there was no need for hub reduction axles on our traffic and we did have a bit of lumber with that poxy Seddon Group axle particularly those on the 8LXB Sed Atks,we’d get about 70,000 miles out of them then they needed rebuilding and 70,000 miles didn’t take long to clock up on double shifters. Cheers Dennis.

Hiya Norm ! I am certain the ERF would have had the ■■■■■■■ 180 engine as the 205 wasn’t up-rated to 220 until 1972 and it also looks like it had the BDR Kirkstall axle which was one of the two axles used by ERF the other being the Eaton which was used behind the 180LXB. I do stand corrected, of course mate !. Cheers Dennis.
