FFS carryfast, stop yer [zb] whinging and whining, feeling sorry for yourself and expecting every other [zb] to as well!!! I fell off my trailer on to concrete and gave me noggin a hefty crack, ending up with BPPV (look it up). After 14 months off work I thought I’d be all right to go back so ended up doing locals on a rigid. That gave me more trouble so I packed it in and on doctors advice I told the authorities and had my HC class (class one to you) licence taken away in 2006. I still suffer with BPPV, but do I get on here complaining about it and telling stories about how I’ve been so badly treated? No I don’t. I’m 73 and would like to work again, but I know I won’t and I don’t think the whole world’s against me because of it. Oh I forgot to mention that I have since 1990, had arthritis in my lumbar spine with severe narrowing of the disc spaces and the same in my cervical spine. You and me are just two of the many hundreds of thousands of people that have disabilities, a great many a lot worse, but most of us don’t carry on like you! Nobody likes a whinger so why don’t you just shut the [zb] up, we’re all sick of it.

As opposed to your and switchlogic’s contribution to the OP’s issue do whatever the boss or customer says even if it includes crippling you with a career ending injury with no recourse and no I’m not talking about a bit of arthuritis. :unamused:

Bearing in mind that showing such willingness might make the difference between being sacked v promotion for anyone who has a tendency of crashing in a big way and showing that willingness on someone else’s behalf is the best way of making sure that you yourself will be exempted from it.

No problem if your spine lets go just start up a snack van business.

Yes the OP is probably sick of switchlogic’s zb. :unamused:

I F***ING LOVE how much my (mostly fictional) career and life bugs you.    You couldnt hold a job down by driving well which says more about you than having a good exciting career where I was respected and valued but made one single big mistake does me. Well, one in a truck. With your personality they’d have probably sacked you for a scratch  as they had clearly been trying to get rid for some time.

Traffic clerk “Geoffreys moaning again Steve” Steve “ah f**k it, with any luck he’ll pack it in soon”

Thought you may appreciate some pictures from my later career.

I know being the open minded man who isn’t a bigot at all you will so love the time I did Pride in London with a 44ft ball pit(pit, not bag)
I did the last run in this for Whites. Dark Diamond No1. Italy was the run (a country in Europe)

Cant remember what power this V8 was, 580 or 620. This is in the Alps, you can tell from the pointy terrain

You know the main reason for my fun career? Positivity and a can do attitude. Like a great many who do well in this industry
Yeah, course the op is sick of my ‘s**t’   Sweet dreams my lovely

Carryfast:
and no I’m not talking about a bit of arthuritis. :unamused:

I do love though how unless it’s something you’ve suffered it can’t possibly be serious. A ‘bit of arthuritis’ says the forum fool. Is that an Arthur specific form of arthritis? What’s your back problem Crippling Geoffreyism?

Carryfast maybe you should remind him of his hgv accident.

I bet Carryfast was at that London gay pride (for lorry spotting reasons only).

I guess we all have things we dislike though. I dont like spending all my time in London and Carryfast doesnt like any form of exercise.

Another for Geoffrey. I know he has a great fondness for the beautiful Emerald Isle, almost as great as his fondness for us homosexuals (I’m flattered but you’re about 30 years too old Geoffrey)

Your ‘can do’ attitude is all about volunteering others to break their backs as part of your virtue signalling agenda which has been more than proven to work for you.
The irony that UPS sends younger sub contract drivers with a tendency towards crashing in a big way, off galavanting around Europe on line haul, while it ends the careers of its own older long serving drivers by using them as warehouse labourers under threat of disciplinary action, says everything about your ‘can do attitude’.
As I said I’ve seen at least one of our own get sacked with extreme prejudice in his hospital bed for doing not much different in putting a truck off the road, than you did.
Now you’re advising new drivers to put themselves in harms way as a show of your bs can do attitude, with no recourse when they get badly injured through doing it.
Some would call you a laughable but very dangerous hypocrite.

Still really bugging you I see. Volunteering others? How does that concept work exactly. You clearly don’t see the irony in fact you slam me when you’re the one that was just as ‘can do’ as me, with difference that you didn’t know when to say no, I did, you fked up you’re entire life as a result of being a yes man  ‘Under the threat of disciplinary action’…wowsers, how frankly terrifying for you. You made your choice, were too feeble to say no and you’ve bgered it all up for yourself. I’m just fine. Well, mostly but not work related. I’m 43 mostly fit with a 4 on 4 off milk tanker job to go back to and you? Well you just gave up. So it does sort of strike me that my attitude works and yours, well who knows it was that long ago. Also ironic how you constantly raise the truck in the ditch. I imagine if you could go back you’d rather damage a truck than f**k your own body. Trucks come and go, ultimately they aren’t important

Maybe another pretty picture so help

As I said before I’d been having issues with my stomach and digestive system for a couple of years before accident. That’s why I gave up being away all time, rented a house and moved to doing 4 on 4 off to go easy on myself after 20 years a workaholic. Shame you weren’t so far sighted about your own needs and health. Learn how far to push yourself basically. Listen to your body telling you things.

Bit of variety there for you, I know it was sorely lacking in your career

You made your choices, stop whinging like an old fish wife
#GodSpeed you crazy Diamond

Remind me to never buy a car from you, Paterm.

I reckon the truth of the matter is CF’s bosses got sick of him telling them they were doing their jobs wrongly and the should be speccing the Pod trucks with an 8V71 connected to a 15RR.
They put him on the dock, hoping he would spit the dummy and walk.
He then tried to swing the lead and get a payout. Expert medical bods declared him fit for work.
FFS Carryfast, I had a house and truck to make payments on and three kids to feed when my truck needed a second engine rebuild in a month. I stacked bricks onto pallets, to keep the kid’s ribs apart.
You whinge and ■■■■■ because your dream didn’t fall into your lap. No wonder you got knocked back for Australia. How do you think trucks got loaded and unloaded in the 70s and 80s?
Standby, I’ve got a gift for you, CF.

Here you go Carryfast, as promised. Guaranteed to harden up snowflakes.

Nineteen hours without a rebuttal, nail on head eh?

Carryfast…I don’t think for one minute that you actually give a ■■■■, but you ain’t portraying yourself in a great light on here mate, over about three different threads with the same cack.
Sorry but you just come across more and more on here (with Luke winding you up  ) as being a bitter and twisted man, blaming everybody for your own doings and resulting misfortunes.

I have not concentrated on your account of details of why you finished work, as …well to be honest I glaze over too easily, so I basically can’t be arsed, but if you have had bad luck with your health due to the job, I do genuinely sympathise with you, but we’re all as long term drivers in the same, or similar type boat…me especially.
My knees are dodgy with jumping out of old trucks and off backs of trailers when younger, my arm tendons are absolutely cringeworthy painful, I can’t sleep at night without painkillers, and I now dread getting into any kind of altercation (which is difficult with a temperament and a gob like mine  ) whilst out with mates, because I have no longer got free movement in my arm, again without painkillers, which do not mix well with beer.
My lower back is a bit iffy sometimes,.again with dodgy old trucks, and I’m carrying a bit of excess timber around the waist…but it’s EFFECTS OF THE JOB.
Nobody put my arm up my back when I started, it was my own choice, so I just get on with it, playing with the cards I’ve been dealt.

As for you moaning about your carreer and lack of breaks, that is down to YOU, I must be somewhere near your age, but I got breaks.
Thing is I had to go out looking for them, like running Europe, decent motors, good pay etc, nobody came knocking on my door with offers.

I even had a go at having my own motors, yeh it’s a regret, but I would not have missed it,.at least I had a bloody good go…Which is why it is water off a ducks back when these clowns on here try and have a pop at me with the ‘failed owner driver’ chestnut, … when these guys have done ■■■■ all with their dull mundane lives except deliveries to supermarkets every mind numbing day, and back home again, and ‘existed’ all their life on the side of caution…sounds wonderful. :unamused: …but they still have a pop, which amuses me…

So ffs stop blaming every ■■■■ else for your bland carreer, and knocking those who had the nous to go looking for a more exciting life, if you’ve missed the boat, it’s futile to complain and utterly pointless…not to mention ■■■■ boring.

Oh ffs, you’ve done it now!

Pffftttt, you big whinging Nancy. You think that’s suffering? I stubbed my toe on my coffee table and you lads have never known pain like it. I nearly fainted but Mummy caught me then made my favourite dinner, gammon with a pasty white sauce
