But the being away is not what I really wanted to carry on with. So far, that is the only reason I would go elsewhere.
I hear Regina’s nice this time of year

It is just a thought, and that gig sounds fair enough on the 4+4. My circumstances are a little different, and my boy is struggling a little with me being away again so I will think again, but you aren’t rid of me yet. It will be at least a year before that happens if it happens at all.
In the meantime I will carry on with H&R.
Have you thought about going on the tankers
I think Paul’s Hauling are doing a 4 on 4 off gig and IIRC the $ was very good, then you don’t have to move to SK, wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy
ETA: I know we ain’t had much of a winter…yet, but PH also do the winter roads, so you could put your chainsaw back to work too

Rob,you could try our outfit in the Peg,4/4 plus a decent wedge,pm me if interested and I’ll make the call.
Dog, just spoken to a mutual friend, 4 on 4 off in Wpg is dead man’s boots, so maybe PH is not for you .
The money on PH is pretty good for the winter roads, but I will wait and see this year. Not much of a season coming up as far as I have heard, and they will be brutal as well with the lack of snow.
The 7 on 7 off is pretty good for me as things stand. I will have time to do the course and to invest time itself in the pursuit of the goal. But if I am still with the same firm next year I will certainly be asking if he wants to put a truck up on the winter roads as he is interested but has not done it before…

Next year? You must’ve got the extended warranty on the chainsaw then
Hi BTD.i hope life is getting a bit better for you.Just curious, but if you drive the winter roads will you be obliged to change your name to Hugh or RÃck ,just to fit in and show you are a professional you understand We’ve had a good winter so far, only about 1.5mtrs of snow and only 2 weeks with min 40c. Take care.Mike

You could write about that nmm “pickle Lake-where where turban meets native American headress” or “ghandi sends truck on the ice”
I guess maybe i could change the name to Mahughmad or maybe taRick then I could have the best of both worlds, eh? Scariest think about those two, Mike, is that there are several around that remind me of them, but they are highway drivers. Mind you, they were irritating as hell for the rest of us up there last year.
No warranty left on the chainsaw so if it decided to shuffle off the mortal coil then it would have a snowy grave.

that’s funny
So you must’ve run out of gaffer tape and cable ties if you’re going to ditch the chainsaw when it goes wrong
Got plenty of duct tape and cable ties of various sizes so securement is no issue, but I am a little low on WD40 so am missing one of the two essential tools required here.
Hopefully I will get up on there again next year. I have too much going on this year to be too concerned about it. Oh, and I didn’t get anywhere near Pickle Lake last year as I was rolling the Manitoban northern routes.
Besides, I have to prepare my court case yet…
