A brand new MAN tractor unit with trailer and the livery was ‘MAN Driver Training’.
The outfit was been driven on trade plates.
Are MAN as a manufacturer attempting to enter driver training after Scania failed in its attempt?
They already offered driver familiarisation and driver training.
Not teaching new drivers, mainly aimed at depot trainers operating MAN vehicles, the training vehicles are kitted out with an extra seat in the centre so two people could be taken out with the MAN trainer sitting between them…though that’s probably not the case presently given the current farce.
Yes, as above. Many manufacturers offer familiarisation training upon delivery of new vehicles. It is often aimed at giving sufficient education so that the hype around better fuel consumption can be substantiated.
Mercedes were one of the first to offer this and had double crew cab units for the purpose. This goes back to around 2008 to my knowledge and possibly earlier.
For licence acquisition, happy to say that some manufacturers are also customers of ours.

Some operators are not even mentoring drivers. You are sent on your own from day one. No one wants to spend 10to 12 hours in a cab. Training schools are being used to provide the training.
