Does anyone out there recall a company named Grocery Logistics who were based in the Lancashire area , as their name suggests they were involved in the movement of mainly tinned goods . I can recall talking to some of their drivers at various RDCs in the mid 90s , I can recall the drivers telling me they were pretty well paid , and I think it was mainly ERFs they had in their fleet , they just seemed to disappear and have never heard of again , many thanks in advance for your help guys ,
Hi Shugg,
Grocery Logistics was a division of RHM fooods and the main base was Salford, they had various depots Robertsons Jams at Droylesden, Saxa salt at Middlewich a place at Wythenshawe that made popadoms, Sharwoods (I think) at Greatsham near Hartlepool and also had depots at Nuneaton and Hoddesdon for bulk loads to be split on to 4 wheelers etc.
They had ERF’s and FL10’s and later on had FH’s I think,Cheer’s Pete
