Is that the depot next to Haverfordwest airport ?

I once did a day’s agency work for Gregories. I was sent to a small parking area near Gloucester at 6am and told to wait for the truck to arrive. After half-an-hour or so a big brown truck came hoolying in, spun round and stopped. I went over to talk to the driver, who barely spoke, except to point at a space with a car in it and telling me to leave it there with the keys on the back wheel. By the time I had got my kit in, he was gone. I put my car in the space, worked out how to get the radio on, and set off.

It was a long day - three or four drops in Yorkshire and then collect a full load of empty bottles for Bulmer’s. No sign of the swap driver when I got back so I just did as instructed. I think I was a good 30 mins over the 15 at the end - most of it while sat waiting for the bottles.

Yep, they like to plan you to your max hours, and preferably a little extra. They expect you to run a swap trailer in with minutes to spare, or over your hours. It good sport though, to park up in good time before you run out of time, and telling the planner where the trailer is parked… :smiling_imp:

I wouldn’t ■■■■ on them if they were on fire.

What work are Gregorys doing for Vital, the shops or trunking. When I was there, about 12 years ago, they had about 20 rigids on the shops and about 7 or 8 artics on trunking between depots and collecting from suppliers.

Vital are moving to a cross dock at salisbury area so Gregory are currently doing overnight trunk with vital own trucks doing trunking and supplier pick ups. Shops are still done in house atm.

Aurri, Vital had a Salisbury depot, and Erith in Kent, when I was there. North Tawton was the main depot is that still the case.
