no you don’t, they were used when the weights went up from 32t mgw to 38t mgw and then truck bodies where made bigger to accommodate the extra payload

I used to have three sets of greedy extensions for my three deck artic car carrier, would get 12 mixed cars regularly on a 9 car carrier that way…

Last time i used greedy boards would have been in the early 80’s, bugger me i still had dark hair then.

see them on various tippers around south London/surrey, the ones who use them are carrying trommel fines to the tips, its a light material so they put them on so they can get the weights on

Hi all.Up here in the mine nearly all the 4 and 5 axle tipper trucks have greedy boards as we drive ‘‘off road’’ in the mine complex. They are only used on the '‘above ground’'trucks as the height clearance is too low underground. We load app 40-45 ton with the boards on 4 axles and the 5 axle rigs take about 50t.Mike

Have you shopped in Farmfoods lately?
Some of the “dysfunctional families” have them on trolleys to get a few more pizzas and an extra bag of oven chips in.
Says me with a basket containing steamable veg and a tenerloin.

Ive got greedy boards on my trailer as an earlier poster said about trommel fines thats what i carry.

nice one… LOL

I saw a few on the A12 and A13 today. I suppose the reason they buy standard muck bodies and fix “half a body” on top instead of a purpose built bulk body is to make it easier to convert to standard spec and sell on. Payload must be crap on them anyway as muckshifters rarely carry more than 19 these days.
In contrast, I’ve seen a few new muckshifters with bodies shallower than the standard 15m3. Must be to keep the tare weight down?
