These Chinese lads know how to earn tonnage money…until it all goes wrong and axles are ripped off, transmissions wrecked etc.

Even 55 years ago when I was driving tippers, if we’d pulled some of those stunts we’d have been sacked on the spot! (and we DID used to do some daft tricks!)
I’ve been following that channel for a fortnight or so. The lorries are built far stronger than Western ones- just look at the size of the tipper bodies, and the reinforcement on them. One of the comments says an 8 wheeler weighs 25 tons unladen. Some of those blocks of stone are over 100 tons. Of course, some of the loads shown in the videos are massive overloads, more than the vehicles will stand for more than a couple of years. They don’t seem to have enforcement of weight limits, so whatever gets the job done, as economically as possible, does the job. I’ve a great deal of respect for China- while we muck about, consuming crap, earning 10% for the US banks, the Chinese maximise the output of man and machine. Their population is building an infrastructure for the country and, simultaneously, manufacturing the crap we waste.
At least the Russians have the excuse of being permanently ■■■■■■ and even then they are still more sensible.
China cement production is enormous.

And no Teamsters Union!
I remember reading that a fleet of Foden Haulmaster six wheeler tippers that were exported to Dubai had chassis and suspension failures when still under warranty and it was found that the bodies built for carrying aggregate were actually being loaded with rock including loading the ‘swan neck’ over the cab. The front springs when removed were firmly set in the inverted position and the chassis were bent where the remains of the bump stops had been in permanent contact. Steering them must have been interesting, and I don’t think they got warranty on them!
