Think it just stands for TOOL !!!

Nice one mate. I’ve done boxes and it’s a great job, plenty of sleep, and tea to drink, and books to read. hope it goes ok for ya. From a crab.

Lol got side tracked from the OP. Well done on getting the job and good look in your new career. Got nothing but respect for servicemen and women . I certainly wouldn’t want to be in Afghan or any other ■■■■ hole .

Thanks for all the nice comments folks, looking forward to Monday now and getting on with the job  like I said, if you see me feel free to say hiya, and if I need to ask any questions for advice and such like…you lot are in the firing line for them

How did he get a job at your firm then, your screening, assessment and interview process might need tweaking a little bit.

Not my firm my old boss employed him think he learnt his lesson

But form what I heard at the time he gave a good interview being ex forces & all this experience etc

You dont always know what some drivers are like till you employ them some are good some not so good

Smudge, nice 1 on the new job, easiest job in trucking but with a nice learning curve. Every railhead, every port and every delivery is different - even when they’ve got the same name.

Ask questions, follow others and don’t panic. 'Tis all good :grimacing:

But from reading his posts i cannot see how he is being a hero. I think this might be the case of you tarring him with the same brush with the ones you have met in the past?

Your right and I apologise for pre judging the man but I been in this job for a long time and they come out the forces and know it all and even when they totaly ZB it up they are still stood their trying to blame some ZBer else.

They are not the best never have been never will be,they do not know it all never have done never will do,you do not tell you grandmother how to ■■■■ eggs not today and not next week.Sit ,Learn .Listen and keep your gob shut and forget the ZB army its gone"!

Mate, you sound like a right prick, shut the ■■■■ up and sit in a corner. When you’re old enough, your daddy might let you do the steering whilst he does the peddals :smiling_imp:

what an absolute ■■■■■■■■ you are Bking :unamused:

i know plenty of ex-forces people who are now driving trucks for a living, and i have never met one that has proclaimed to ‘know it all’

you will find that there are a number of members on here that are ex-forces too, LeeG for example, admittedly, he’s a ■■■■■■■■ too :stuck_out_tongue:

(sorry Lee, couldn’t resist)

anyway, back on topic now, congratulations on the new job, who is it for?

and do you know what ports/rail heads you will be running from?

if you ever get in to BIFT at Birch Coppice, Tamworth, give me a shout, i’ll get you a coffee if i’m there :grimacing:

I would not critisise too much when you cannot even write a legible post. From experience the ones that knock others are not very good themselves.

Have you quoted the right post here? I can’t see anything illegible in this one.

Right i will try to keep this thread on topic* and just say congratulations on the getting the job! As spanky says where you running out off? If your down Felix give us a shout and ill get the first (im a skinflint you see   ) coffees in down there! As said previously, if in doubt then ask as you will always find a friendly face who will help.
Ill see you down the road at some point…

  • You know what ■■■■■■■■ to it!I have nothing but love and respect for all of our service personnel! Both granddads served so its in the blood straight away that respect is given!! Granted its a little less for the RAF (its a rugby thing   ) but still i respect them all!!
Ive met more “drivers” that think they are the be all and end all than ex service personnel!! Im a great advocate of the fact that every day is a learning curve. I havent carried every load going, I havent been to every customer etc. Even after three years of having C+E I will still ask to hopefully prevent me stuffing up! Shut up Shuttle!!
