Golf driver vs hgv driver on slip rd

Watched it now, in one respect the drivers out off order atleast pull him out off his car and give him a hiding atleast that way the golf drivers got a chance to defend himself. On the other hand by reading the description off what happened before he got out it than I’d say the golf driver deserved a good ■■■■■■■ smack in the mouth. I’ve had the same thing happen to me i was coming back from dropping the truck off for its inspection when a van almost ploughed into the courtesy car I was driving I beeped because I assumed he had no idea I was there. No big deal until he pulled on the hard shoulder and then got back in behind me up my arse giving it the large flashing me giving me the bean out the window, got off the motorway and he pulled behind me at lights still shouting out his window and I coped got out and offered him out off his van he still gave it the large but wouldnt get out I so wanted to ■■■■■ ■■■■ him through his window. The driver shouldn’t off done what he did in the way he did it and considering he’s driving a lorry which is all liveried up he should off refrained from what he did as it will come to bite him on the arse. It sounds to me as if the golf driver started something he couldn’t finish but the manner in which the lorry driver gave him a hiding was out off order, smack him if you have to but give him the chance to fight back.

The “facts” are pretty clear IMO he attacked someone through the window of a car, the person inside had no way of defending themselves looking at the video. Also from the video the driver of the Golf was INSIDE the car, hardly threatening physical violence is it. So yes from that video he deserves everything he gets.

The facts are far from clear, let’s say the hgv driver goes to the window of the Golf to have a verbal argument but when he gets there the golf driver starts reaching for a baseball bat ( other weapons are available ) so in a sudden rush of fear for his own safety he starts to hit out to prevent the Golf driver getting to and using the aforementioned weapon !!

Of course all this is guesswork as no one knows what’s is really happening from simply watching the video !

Innocent until proved guilty and the video proves nothing.

truckerjimbo’s post is out of order imo.No need to post details.

■■ sorry dude but the company name is on the front of the truck. Its been shared 1300 times on facebook!!! is boss is well going to see it.

Yes, I see your point .Dude?? -suits me actually ,like it.

Lets face it we all been upset by some idiotic road users ,if they were or weren’t well that’s another story, but we know what is going to happen here , the drivers company will see the video and they will see it , and he will be looking for another job , worth punching a knob for , well that’s your choice but I would rather have my job and lets hope the commissioner doesn’t see it too :open_mouth:

Own up,we’ve all wanted to do it !!!

Agree with that.

Looks like both are guilty BUT it’s the lorry driver that’s caught on camera!!!
Got to admit nearly been there myself.

Bet that lorry driver thinks he’s well hard punching someone whilst there stuck in their car like that.

so…bit of road rage, both parties up for it …trucker wins

Good on the truck driver hope he doesn’t lose his job, he probably went to the golfs window with no intention of that happening, maybe just to scare him but im pretty sure that diver of the golf pulled something as the truck driver rips it out his hand and smacks him with it…

unsure what it was exactly but some of you people are so quick to slate him making him out to be an animal etc… if you’re going to act how the VW acted in that statement you are going to get a dull one sometime…
people like newlad saying he just wanted to hurl abuse at the hgv.
What the ■■■■■ that about not everyone likes to ball and shout like girls in the street.

The driver should of removed the keys from the golf and slung em into a bush along with the prick’s mobile phone instead of smacking him,lol

NewLad:
How can anyone that repeatedly punches someone through a car window be classed as innocent?

I had an incident a while ago when a driver of a car with his bird in thought it’d be good to try and force me into an accident not only once but dozens of times over a 10 mile period. What made it worse was I had my 5 year old son in the wagon at the time. At one point I was down to walking speed whilst this ■■■■ was carrying on. We got to Driffield where he shot off into town and I carried on my journey back to the yard.

Unfortunately for the little prick he didn’t know I lived in Driffield and I knew where I’d be likely to find him. So I finished work, dropped my lad off at home and popped off to the local car park where all the boy racers hung out. Sure as eggs is eggs he was there so I walked up to his car and introduced his face to his steering wheel. He was lucky. When I was walking up to the car I was intent on introducing it to a lot more than that. I doubt he played games with trucks again.

Exactly.

Many a time I’ve wanted to smack some helmet giving it the big one and would have.Unfortunately I cant fight sleep.

if that had been me in my car and saw someone walking up to me my belt would have been off and the door open, so he wasn’t really “stuck” in his car he bottled it and chose not to get out

Fair play to the lorry driver imo.He comes across a tadge “harder” than a Vw driver doing a “Gareth Hunt” gesture.

Can he do an anger management course for his DCPC.Our man could lose his job for bringing firm into disrepute and lose his licence after the T.C. has done with him.

possible cause ?

the golf driver was taking the mick and pointing at his nameplate “Big Dave” took exception to it and gave him a clip

Im on the lorry drivers side.
Violence is not always the answer, but sometimes it is and this geezer has been firmly put in his place and he will probably become a better person because of it.

I can’t wait to do this next time someone pushes in front of me, it’s going to happen.

If this gets out in the press its highly likely the driver will be sacked. Even if his boss initially sympathises they won’t have a choice but to punt him due to reputation etc

People only see one side and the side which is shown is someone who’s lost the head giving another driver a good going over. Nobody loses the head like that for nothing and the wording under the vid backs it up, looks like he was provoked. Also the car driver doesn’t look much like a victim being sat a good few car lengths from the traffic lights and has his window down, not exactly a position a ‘‘victim’’ would place themselves in.

BTW wonder what the object is the trucker throws back at the car driver. Looks bigger than a mobile phone. Torch perhaps? Looks like its been used as a weapon against the trucker possibly
