Glow in the dark roads anyone?

I think this is a brilliant idea

I’m all for it if they would remove every single speed/signal camera on the road to fund it…!

Those blue cycle lanes all over London look like a giant Smurf has got sh*tfaced and had an enormous ■■■■ in the gutter.

Sod the cyclists, get to it on the proper roads.

more likely to put more in to fund it :imp:

Is it similar to those catseyes between 17 and 18 on the M6?

They seem to glow really well, and if you look in your mirror they look pretty cool, so must store the light somehow?

Just Solar Powered… They charge up for 8 hours during daylight and give 12 hours illumination in the dark. LEDs need next to no power so makes great sense.

I like the junction on the A41 just past Newport. Almost tempted to turn off my lights driving through!

That would be madness, I’d never do such a thing…*cough

Just had an idea though. They would work with well on trucks as overnight parking lights. Still amazes me that there is still no way to have low power marker lights on each corner that you can leave on all night. Well there is a way, rather no one fits it.

If they are the type I’m thinking of, there wouldn’t be any point. The ones I’ve seen are light activated to conserve power. They only stay lit for a certain amount of time after you have passed, useful to know if there is someone in front of you.

Yes Wayne, I feel like buck rogers coming in for a landing when I look in my rear mirrors going through that stretch of m6 by middlewich.

Very true… The cost of a few LED heads would be minimal, especially when you consider how much the mandatory 3M reflective tape costs (5m around £35!).

Dragons Den?

Don’t be doing that now times-series.co.uk/news/414652.0/

I hear the coroner had a moan about the ‘runway racing’ effect of the solar powered cats eyes,

I’ve heard those new ones 17 to 18 are supposed to be pretty good
