Gloucestershire Police are trialling an app to report anti social van and lorry drivers…

gloucestershirelive.co.uk/n … ic-8674555

Seems the the Police want us to do their job for them!!!

[zb] good job , the amount of parcel delivery drivers who think it’s ok to abandon there vans straight across my drive when delivering to another house beggars belief , there plenty of room to park not causing a obstruction but they can’t be bothered
, too idle to walk a few yards extra
The amount of times I’ve had to tell them to move the bloody things
I’m with the locals / coppers on vans ( mainly these Amazon type ones ) , ticket the idiots

Why would you care? It really says a lot about our selfish society if drivers like you get upset about such trivial things. I can understand it if you want to get out but otherwise you just bring a knob to a fellow driver. :imp:

Why would I care , because I can’t get on
/ off my drive when it’s blocked , neither can mrs , my girl , friends & family
, as stated above there is alternative parking yards away that would impede no- one , and take seconds more to run with his parcel to one of the houses , it’s a small bloody culdesac ,it takes a minute to walk from the top to the bottom of it , neighbours / we have people visiting and every one seems capable of parking considerately, why can’t these useless ■■■■■
Tickets the ■■■■■ , might get through there wooden heads

Her you go , now explain to me why they need to block my drive , this is from my drive down , space to park on the right / left , even on the lane at the bottom
But no let’s park across my drive because it saves them walking a few feet more , ■■■■ them I’ll be ringing up & getting them ticketed

Looking at the front of my house that fence is on the left of the drive , all that room just down from my house & they choose to dump there van across my drive , and I’m not meant to say anything because there apparently fellow driver , there bone idle ■■■■■■■■ , no reason , excuse why they do it other than they think they can do what they like , not with my drive there not , never mind ticket the idiots I’d take there ■■■■■■■ lisenses off them

You’ve just told everyone on this forum where you live, with that photo…

I’ve never seen a parcel delivery van driver take a 45 minute break. I’ve rarely seen a parcel delivery van stationary for more than two minutes. You have well documented health issues Adrian, I humbly suggest that you just chill over a van parked for a handful of seconds over your drive or you will work yourself into an early grave!

That’d be a tragedy to those of us here who relish watching you unravel on a daily basis. We’d miss you.

They already know , I told them to come to my house the other month but they never turned up
Any why would it need to be a secret , I’m not bothered if any one knows or doesn’t know where I live , or should I be worried , are you planning a assassination attempt ha ha
It’s a ■■■■■■■ house not some top secret milatary base

I’ve had Amazon Van’s outside my house, but for never longer than 2 or 3 mins…reason being these lads have to be like machines, to cope with the workload pressure, I’ve seen them SPRINTING with parcels under their arms ffs. :unamused:
One told me when there is no answer at a door they have to count to 10,.and just forget it, and rush on to their next job.
So he then jumps in his van after 2 mins, as if he’s making a getaway from a bank job..
I ain’t got a problem with them parking outside my house, they have plenty problems and stress without me adding to it by running out in the wife’s slippers and giving them grief.
Now they have the public ‘wannabe police’ to deal with thanks to the [zb] Old Bill. :unamused:

Does that count as a rant Simon?
I reckon more of a sympathetic social comment,.with a criticical sting in the tail at the end.
What do ya reck ?

It takes seconds to park the bloody van sensibly , just as easy as abandoning across my bloody drive , it’s a bloody small culdesac with about 30 houses , it wouldnt take more than a few sec,s to get from one end to the other , parking sensibly would take seconds , park bloody sensibly then run a bit faster if need be , but stay away from my house
I
Pay c.tax to have unfettered access too it
I’m just surprised you don’t deliver the bloody parcels for the poor souls !!!

You need to chill doze man, you’ll be doing yourself a mischief.
I dont want to be responsible for bringing a stroke on to you by my comment.
Way I see it mate there are far more important things in life to get stressed about,.a man with your health issues should know that better than me.
Take it easy man.

It’s irrelevant whether it’s 1 min or 40 mins , there no reason at all to park across my drive , as the 2 pictures show there is perfectly acceptable parking a few feet down from my drive , why do all the visitors to the houses park there , not across drives , it’s pure ■■■■■■■ laziness , and I’m not having it .
As for health , I’m too old to change .

But he’s not there yet , Anyway I need to get on , fortifying the defences , cameras , alarms & 2 Rottweilers incomming ha ha

I can see that Edward has beefed up his home security, the blonde haired chap is Dozy making a cup of tea with the Mrs.
