Gloucester services.

Lorry park two thirds empty. Lazy, incompetent, F you Jack I’m alright, or something else? Discuss.

The place might’ve been full when they rolled in. If not, I say pig ignorant drivers.

Wasn’t full mate. It was empty when I went across for a shower and was still empty when I came back, the only difference being these two clowns had arrived and parked in front of a Prestons guy with a long rear overhang of steel on his trailer. Didn’t make it impossible for him to get out, but it certainly made it more difficult than it should have been.

These are the kind of drivers refered to in another thread. They can not reverse, so use any opportunity to drive in and drive out.

Plenty of room there…for abnormal load to block them both in for a while

To be fair, the abnormal load only bay is not very clearly marked. Perhaps they didn’t know. :unamused:

I’ve been in there a few times, never actually noticed the abnormal load bay.
Similar parking to sedgemoor services.

its just a shorter walk to services .

thats the kind of people most lorry drivers are :

cant be arsed to overtake sensible distance before pulling in .

cant be arsed to pull out to overtake cyclists .

cant be arsed to take litter to bin .

cant be arsed to consider other people .

cant be arsed to use mirrors .

basically , they just cant be arsed

You my friend have made my evening very true and very funny

I was in there myself around 1pm, it was over half empty. These kind of drivers are a lost cause, Gloucester is one of the easiest places to park, the bays are already angled to make it so, with plenty of room, boredwivdrivin is spot on.

Whooooooooosh…

Boredwivdrivin has written the best and most true reply all year, he could have mentioned the dim wit lorry drivers who accelerate in the average speed works to force other motorists to break the speed limit.
They then intimidate them by sitting two feet away for ten miles, and toot the horn, flash lights or gesticulate like a drunk octopus trying to take a bra off.
These lorry drivers should have their licence taken away on the spot, vehicle impounded, explain that to the boss, gained nothing.

Laziness. They are the same ones who park on the entrance road at Cherwell Valley because it’s 30ft closer to the door. Cherwell Valley must have the biggest truck parking area of any services in UK yet still they park in stupid places

I don’t think it’s just a lorry driver problem, it seems to be a problem across society,

The people who throw their fast food rubbish out of the car, when there is a bin nearby
The people who drive down a queue on a slip road to cut in at the last moment.
The people who park in disabled parking areas or loading bays because they’re closer to the shops.
The people who can’t be bothered to park carefully so take up 2 parking spaces in an already overcrowded car park.

That would be the food then, no worries as seagulls will soon find it

 Sadly not, but if it were it might sort out the obesity problem, but then not being so lazy you can’t walk a few feet to dump your rubbish might also help.

I took my first ever break when I started in artics, in South Mimms on a Friday afternoon. After being delayed at my drop, I had to park on Thurrock with about 5 mins to spare, let’s just say I’ve not been too freaked out by backing into a bay ever since.

better to park in a safe spot than risk banging someone elses unit while reversing
