Glastonbury Memories

I remember when I went the ticket was £8 for the weekend and there were 18,000 people there. I remember Hawkwind, Ginger Baker, can’t remember much else.

1981

Yes, it was 1981. The following year I went to Stonehenge Free Festival, which I much preferred. Every time I drive down the A303 I think back to it, look at the exact place we camped, remember acid tripping at the stones as the sun came up on Midsummer’s Day, and also remember some bizarre stuff too, like how the bloke who played Ken Barlow in Coronation Street was one of the Druids, and loads of hippies were shouting “All right Ken? How’s Deirdre?” while he was trying to be all serious

  Top man you are, Harry! Aaaahh…acid. Made me the disconnected, dysfunctional man i am today!!
