GLASS TRAILERS

Is the unit and trailer owned by a haulier or St. Gobain? I did the glass in Ireland for 6 year’s before they pulled out. ! of Neeman/Zeetank truck’s turned over outside Charlestown year’s ago abot a mile outside TJ Grady’s(his destination) ,the whole load came out of the trailer roof when it turned over and lay neatly in a field like a spilled deck of card’s. It was a nightmare to clean up im told.

Ayup,if you ever do go abroad, dont forget to pump the suspension up in the morning. This guy got jammed on the ramp on NSF.Took a while before we could disembark and the Curries and Pickfords drivers had a laugh.Late 90s if anyone know any of the audience.Cheers Joe.

Yes we do “Hang the job out” cus we are paid by the hour. And it is a company rule that Irish trips are 2 nights. Working for Nijman Zeetank doing all of Europe and Uk running 65 trucks means that the more you do the less you get paid …

The Dutch lads on Nijman made an easy job look hard work, they seemed to be always tired in the morning on the ferry. May have been the time they spent in the bar every night

I worked on Zeetank with the lift tanks and had the pleasure of delivering 2 brand new DAF 3300 and Innenladers to Pilkington when Nijman took the job on

I worked for Janice Altenburg, Ted Chapman, and later Clive Riggall who came from Suthrells
