Glasgow morning rush hour

yawn

Are we keeping you up?

fairly obvious too me theres been a failure of the lane departure warning on that volvo.cant see how a driver can be held responsible for a systems failure .

tonez:
Looks to me the wire has stopped him, I take that from the taut wire around his offside, I can only assume some monkeys cant see that

It’s dozy testing a new delivery system based on aircraft carriers. For time sensitive deliveries into congested areas.

Contraflow:

alfa man:
But at least the wire rope seems to have done it’s job in preventing a head on with something northbound.

He’s the wrong side of the wire rope. It’s done [zb] all in preventing a head on.

Pure luck.

Are you ■■■■■ blind ■■? You can quite clearly see the rope up the side of the right side of the truck in the picture
And as a said I seen the wreck and you could quite clearly see the wire rope dug in to the drivers side of the cab.

Contraflow:

Pure luck.

The wire rope is stretched round the offside of the vehicle, so it has done its job and stopped the truck going any further over. That’s how it’s designed to work, it’s not meant to act as a solid barrier.

:open_mouth: seriously?

Conan the Librarian:
:open_mouth: seriously?

Maybe it’s one of these new Stobart policies, like not strapping pallets, now they are telling drivers they don’t have to look where they are going or steer on motorways and to just rely on the lane departure system to keep them in straight line.
