yeh its working ok now so dont go “fixing it” if it aint broke…
soon as i read that the IT specialist wont get anything done cos its near xmas now i thought whoever he is another pure LAZY bozo its over a week till xmas ,how long does it take!!! teach him a good lesson and cancel him now pay him zilch

The migration IS happening.
It might be working OK now, but there are those who would complain when it inevitably slows down again.

Lazy…aye right. 
A lot of companies put a change freeze on any IT systems from now until 2nd week in January. As they know if the [zb] hits the fan with platform migration/patching/upgrade or whatever task is planned and they have reduced IT staff or not allowed for key IT staff to be available , the downtime need to correct it will be much longer. Especially if the roll back plan isn’t worth a [zb] 
as it’s never been tested out.

Coders wouldn’t know 6 days if it hit them in the face. They live in darkened rooms and are completely ‘wired in’ to what they are doing.

You do know that this isn’t the new version don’t you? This is merely the old version with a set of jump leads on it, therefore the opportunity to accidentally deliberately wipe all of these state secrets has not yet presented itself.

What part of “old forum” and “after Christmas” are you struggling to comprehend?
Also, it has been stated by Dave, that the posts and pictures will be preserved, that’s part of the hold up.
You seem very ungrateful of the efforts to update the board, particularly as access is totally free. Do you have any idea of the work involved for Mods and Admin, in maintaining a forum such as this? Show some respect and appreciation.
