Giving VOSA (bad) ideas

Watching Outback Truckers as I did (on the net) it was interesting to note the ‘model’ turned ‘truckie’ lady pulling over to redo a strap that had worked loose on the curtainsider. She said if the authorities spot it then it’s a $125 fine PER STRAP. In the place I am at the moment there are 3 trailers which do not have roof supports. No matter what you do the middle 5 or 6 straps always work themselves loose. It’s as if the chassis bends a bit too much or maybe the roof with having the stronger girder rather than supporting bars. Somebody was saying about legislation yet to come, let’s hope they don’t get any idea’s from the Aussie’s !

Maybe it’s the Aussies equivalent of £10 per turn of the landing legs handle

Must admit I haven’t heard about it. Mind you, I probably wasn’t interested at the time.

They ain’t working hard enough if that’s all the Aussie vosa have to worry about.

It wasn’t like that really. Its just the easiest way to make money in fines.
