All ive heard mate its not just an assessment its an M&S assessment
Did it a couple of years ago, about an hours drive around ■■■■■■■■■■■ and Airdrie and a site induction.
A couple of drivers do it and they are sound enough.
Second day is spent as a second man.
Make sure you check safety clip and height of trailer as they ask when you start your drive.
Fridge work to stores and services and trunks to Stranrear, nothing to difficult except those bloody dollies that seem to have a mind of there own.
Payed only hours you are there, I did a Saturday night thus giving up my whole weekend and got 6 bloody hours.

Thanks mate. The agency doesn’t do the store delivery side of it, only covers the trunks and collections. Basically more general haulage type than actually going to the stores. The agy did mention something like doing a store delivery as part of the induction. Should be fun to get back behind the wheel
I deliver in there, pretty big set up… although there are 2 places, one up near the airport and the other one is the chilled place… Lenziemill or something the area is called

It’s the Lenzie one I’m going to. Chilled.
Thats where i deliver into occasionally, big place, all DAF’s and M&S trailers as far as i could see
It’s ■■■■ easy work, the trunks are just up the M77 and back in a night.
Two depots, Wardpark ADC and the chill (can’t remember the name it’s late at night)
The chill is quite tight and not the biggest yard, but you’ll be taking deckers to the docs in either a DAF or a volvo. Motors are clean and basic but have nice little toys to keep you right (talking handbrake for example). One bump and your a high risk driver.
All the guys are sound you’ll probably be out with shug, ian or mad tam.
Just don’t be late at the docks…

Which agency is it Steve?
It used to be an agency called HMS when BOC pulled the M&S trailers a few years ago, but it’s all changed now.
Thanks.
This sounds like it, it was on the Job center plus website.

Assessment was brough forward to today (thurs). I passed, everyone seemed ok. 25 Mile drive through tight as ■■■■ town centres/back roads etc. Couple tight bay reverses and the job was in the bag. Not driven a truck for nearly 3 months too. What can I say, I’m a driving god lol. Next up is the first twa shifts will be training days. Basically double manned store deliveries. Easy money
