Any one know much about working for gist. They opened New depot in cov. Currently at DPD Hinckley. wondering if it’s worth the jump.
My mate has worked for them at Thornbury for about 6 yrs and rates them, you’re on a time limit getting out in the morning and getting to store but t’s and c’s seem good.
I will add that’s on the M & S contract.
Starbucks contract @ Coventry. Enter via Pertemps @ £10.50 ph and if taken on the figure I heard was £11.25 or thereabouts with hints of more to come. Generally seems to be low on hours.
They’re also opening a new depot in Motherwell in September and apparently looking for more staff if it’s any good to anyone. Guessing it’s Eurocentral as I’ve noticed a lot of work going on in the old wincanton depot in Brittain Way.
They’ve put new advert on indeed website. 13.80 per hour for their new site in cov. No hours at DPD either

Hovis have moved all their operations to duke street and gist are moving in to their old unit which is next to wincantons

Makes more sense cos the old wincanton yard is 2 separate buildings. Better to have the one big warehouse like the hovis one. Reason I thought it might have been the old wincanton yard is because it’s been getting loads of insulation work done so assumed it was being turned into a cold store.
