In the cab I have a permit which allows for Sunday running but with it being written in German I cant read it. We have been told it is ok for sunday running unladen but im not sure. Ive read the post.on germany driving but im still none the wiser !!! Would a permit be inclusive of unladen running on a Sunday ? Thanks
Unladen running falls under the normal Sunday running rules in Germany. That is, everything over 7,5t is verboten, apart from the usual chilled milk, meat and veg cop outs.
Otherwise you will need a permit (Ausnahmegenehmigung), for which you will pay handsomely.
Stick a photo of your permit up on here and I’ll have a look to see if it’s kosher and still valid, etc
Ok will do . Give me 5 mins. Thanks

I do not think you can drive Sunday with an empty trailer. But saying that if your place of loading falls under perishable it may be ok.But who has told you it is ok.?
You’re good to go, fella.
Leerfahrt: Zurück ab Belgien: Unladen from Belgium
I’m sure you’ll be fine.
Stobarts wouldn’t risk telling you to go when you can’t.
Thank you so much. On way to belgium now ! Was going to plough through as far poss but theyve told me to stop at depot in lokeren . Maybe that wording of ‘from belgium’ would be signoficant if I ran to venlo or beyond if I was to get stopped tomorrow in germany.
…it looks good…the permit is for the whole year and it´s for the holiday driving bans in Summer in Germany too…
I´m only surprised about the direction from East Germany to UK .So i´m not really sure…why is the permit not signed in both directions…?
Christel in the office at Lokeren won’t give you duff info. She’s 100% switched on regarding European law.
