I have started with a firm running to Germany, does anybody know if there is a map of outlets or terminal machines available, either online or as an app ?
You will find them at service stations, just before and after you enter Germany. I only used one
myself for the 1st time the other day.
Using the search facility on this page: toll-collect.de/en/help-serv … tions.html will bring up a map with the location and address of Maut stations in the area you require

Best bet is to get a coffee before you start. You’ll have finished it by the time those machines have strolled through accepting your input, calculated your route, accepted your payment and printed out your route card and receipt.
Thanks everyone, some really helpful advice(especially ordering coffee)
if you go to the toll collect website you can order a book with all the places you can get your tax,and its free, took about 2 weeks to arrive though, theres alot of smaller garages in towns that do the tax, like if you sail into cuxhaven,as you come out the dock your straight on the motorway, you have to go into cuxhaven and get your tax from a jet garage,no good heading down the autobahn and tryin to get it at the first services or autohoff, the police or baggies wont have that, even if you were to backdate it to where you came on,you will be fined
Pester your gaffer for a MAUT box, any German or Dutch dealer will fit you one for a reasonable price, that way everything is automatic and your gaffer will get a bill at the end of each month, they can be linked to your fuel card account and fit in one of the DIN (radio) slots of your cab. This way you never have the problem of missing a junction and being fined by BAG, you never have the problem of timing your return journey (after you’ve tipped - because you’ll have to GUESS when you may be tipped without one) and you’ll never have to search miles and run without the tax to find a toll collect machine in the back end of beyond.
You’ll also not be stood in a twenty long queue of poles, Romanians and general Taliban who are useless with the machines and will waste countless hours of your time. Also the toll collect machines are ■■■■■ unless you know where on the stupid Map to put your finger, simply finding the right area can be a pain in the backside.
Trust me, get a MAUT box, you will thank me for this advice…
Happy to help.

Except if you get off the Cuxhaven boat at night you’re [zb]ed because the garages in town are shut. The Aral is open but they won’t let you inside to use the machine despite the pleading of your pleasant German ■■■■■■ driver Then there’s naff all for ages coming south on the autobahn
Thanks for the info on cuxhaven, going there on saturday night/sunday morning
MAN in Germany will fit you a box with all the gubbins for 349€
(Info hot off the notice board from MAN in Paderborn this forenoon)
