Once again, thanks to all who have made donations
Pat
First of all I would like to thank you all for this wonderful gift which allows me to keep in touch with the outside world and a special thanks to David and Pat who made it all come together, yes Pat Biggus would have.
I am out of the main pain which was getting unbearable thanks to the cocktail of drugs they give me 3 times a day but the breakthrough pain still occurs. My pelvis has multiple fractures and there are no good bone areaās to pin too so it has to be left alone, my hip are also damaged again the bone area is too diseased for any treatment. The tumour is now the size of a small melon and is the main reason for the fractures in the pelvis as it grows it is pushing out the bone and something has to give. The hospice is so friendly as are all the staff and they wheel me outside for a ciggy with an umbreller for when it snows. I am getting tired now so I will post again soon, once again thanks to you all, I am forever in your debt.
Safe journey
George
hiya,
Nice you are back with us George and to see you are able to post again, great stuff, thanks to everybody who has made this possible for you, keep as well as possible friend and Iām pleased that they are manageing to keep the pain at bay for you.
thanks harry long retired.
Great to see you posting here, George.
Glad it all came together (well done Pat & Spardo). As Pat said, too many of us donāt ask if/when we need something but if thereās anything else we can help with, just ask!!
glad to see ur back online george
Iām glad youāre back online George,
I must say hearing your voice and how much more comfortable you were on ChristmasDay warmed the cockles of my heart.I was so glad you got to spend the day pain free and in comfort (after the amount of pain you were going through before) and that you had company and wernāt on your own in the flat.
After posting this Iām gonna send you an email (assuming you still use the same address) with some photoās of the wedding and a general update on things
I spoke to George again this morning.
He sounds very tired and his speech somewhat slurred and a little difficult to follow, perhaps because of all the drugs which are keeping his pain at bay, perhaps that he is simply very tired.
He told me that it took him half an hour just to type out the email he wrote last Monday so I hope, indeed Iām sure, that everyone will excuse his infrequent messages.
Iām sure heāll be chuffed to get the pics Sean, he does read everything and is in fact really pleased at getting his online access back.
On a bright note, his friend Sheila has improved somewhat in her own health and will be visiting tomorrow. She will be a real tonic for him.
Hello everyone,
I will give a quick update as I am in between drugs and I am feeling quite awake at the moment which is quite rare. My latest reading was 712 which is not good they have just put a new driver on me wich should help with the background pain but will make me a bit out of it. The one thing that keeps me going is the beautiful nurses I have looking after me, they are great and very caring. Sorry getting tired now so I must go thaanks to youall for the wonderful gift and all the offers that people made, it shows that there is still alot of genuine people out there and my friends have grown to include youall
Good bye and my best to yyouall
Safe journey
george
Gob Bless you George

George,
Good to see you posting. Glad youāre keeping tabs on us on here. You take it easy and let those ābeautiful nursesā do their stuff looking after you.
Best wishes,
M.
dont wait until its too late ihad a sore back ,just below my ribs for about 3weeks in sept2009 .i had been given a new volvo fm13 440 unit, and thought it was the new seating position that was causing it. i went to doc and he had a look, took blood sample etc.week later was told in hospital i had pancreatic cancer.things got worse in the next month .am now on chemo,(bloody awful at times),but at least am getting better.its going to be a long haul, but i,ll get there. there are warning signs lads, dont ignore them cheers auldyin54
Welcome to TN Auldy, sorry to hear about your illness but at least you seem to have caught it early.
I had my blood test yesterday and the good news is my PSA is down to 0.66 from 1.03 last time. Thatās good I think.
George was in good form Sunday, Sheila is managing to visit each week at the moment.

thanks for the welcome, spardo.not had a good week.went for chemo on wed blood counts were too high,no treatment, put on antibiotics so fingers crossed.
Crossed here too Auldy.
Spoke to George this morning as usual, but had to track him down to the Nursing Home to where he was suddenly transferred on Friday.
This is good news we think as they were talking of this a month or two ago because he wasnāt as serious as the others at the hospice. Then they changed their minds after telling him the outlook was in fact bleaker. Now this latest change and he certainly sounded very cheerful this morning. He loves the place and he loves the staff and they have told him he will be there for about 2 monthsā¦not bad considering they only gave him 2 or 3 weeks last week.
Best of all he is only a mile away from Sheila and she is well enough to visit at the moment. Also this home specialises in MS so she will have plenty of backup if she takes a turn for the worse when visiting.
He suspected that the mobile phone signal wasnāt good there though which would mean that his dongle wouldnāt work, but hasnāt had time to set up yet so didnāt know. Afterwards I checked 3g for coverage in his postcode and it showed ok. Heāll send me an email when he gets the chance if thatās true.
Thank you Spardo with the posting you made it is nice
to read ,do hope that George gets a signal , and wish him
well, also his young lady,
Thanks for the update, David.
Good news about George. Hopefully heāll get to post on here himself, coverage allowing.
Yes, if he gets a signal Iām sure he will although even operating a keyboard is tiring for him.
BTW, I mentioned to him my PSA of 0.6 and he asked āguess what mine isā . You can imagine my astonishment after guessing at 4 when he said āover 700ā.
And no, he assures me he didnāt get the decimal point in the wrong place.
hiya,
Thank you David, nice to kept informed about George, his writings some time ago were very inspirational to me, i was lucky and got in there quickly and am doing well with no return of the horrible illness, George is correct, speed is of the essence when the āCā thing rears itās ugly head and thatās immaterial of what type or whatever the location, as George says get checked out it will make all the difference.
thanks harry long retired.
another set-back this week, white cells too high.waiting to go for scans to see if tumour has grown or if something else.will try curry n 2 tins of beans this time, somethings bound to shift it.
