Ive had a look ,thats where naylors were based,do you remember their nice fleet of scanias ,mainly fridge work in the 90,s
Yep I do remember Naylors nice Scany’s. There has been a few firms in there at various times over the years, A landlord bought the yard after Coopers had finished with it. Can’t remember his name but he had it named sandy bridge ind est and rented parts of the yard out to different firms etc. Don’t know who owns the estate now, maybe the same guy or maybe a land owning corporate of sorts.

Soz but I don’t know.
I think Kerry foods or someone took over Mathews down Healey Road in Ossett, (one of Naylors biggest customers) who then brought in Wincanton to do their work
so Naylors packed up. I am not 100% but i think Naylor owns the industrial estate at Shafton
Ive googled naylors shafton and theres allready been a thread about it on tnet, they packed in 1999 and theres a couple of photos, not much really

Wow, thanks for posting them here Coca Cola kid and many thanks to Ian and his Dad for them.
If I remember right LXG was the 2nd f86 to come to Coopers and it was Roland’s unit. I think it was an L reg (1973).

Now that is well b4 my time at Coopers, I can picture whereabouts in the yard it is taken though. The shed was the first garage workshop to be built at the yard so it’s a very long time ago. Thanks for the photo.

I remember Coopers running MK5s,not sure if I saw them with MK3s like Evans still had in 1970. Any idea of the reg number of that MK3?

Very chuffed to be honest seth, brill response so far thanks to guys like you and some images via old work mates who I hope will join in the conversation when they get wind of it. The old firm deserves a good history search etc.
What you need to do is when it drops off is bring it back to the first page every now and again,i think most folk only have a quick look at page one so it soon fades away
